Steve Kiefer took the helm in August 2004. His track record since entering the full-time ministry sixteen years ago proves that he is an effective leader, team player and visionary. He is a powerful communicator that believes one of the biggest sins is to bore people with the Word of God. "This book is alive and active, and relevant for californians today" according to the Johnson Bible College grad. Over the years he has led soul-winning seminars, been the featured speaker of multiple revivals, and a workshop leader at the North American Christian Convention. Dave joined our staff in October of 2006. Dave has lived in the bay area most of his life. He has been married to his best friend, the beautiful Danielle Gleason, for five years. Dave graduated in 2000 from San Jose Christian College (now William Jessup University). Dave and Danielle were blessed with the birth of their first child, Cole Allen Gleason in March 2007. Chad has been serving as the Youth Pastor since 2001 and joined the staff in August 2002. He shares the ministry responsibilities with his charming wife, Michela. Their fun, energetic approach to youth worship make them a wonderful team. More importantly, they strive to give teens the guidance to make the right choices and the ability to become life changers themselves. Jeramy Sossaman joined the First Christian team in August 2002 as our Creative Arts Director. He loves long walks on the beach and his favorite color is brown. You can often find him sipping a double tall vanilla latte with his gorgeous wife, Sharon, while deciding if they’ll watch Lord of the Rings again that evening. Jeramy loves music and dabbles at playing the drums. He is an avid blogger and his 4 kids (Brady, Mary Rose, Jane & Margaret) will more then likely make him old before his time....but he still holds on to the dream of Sharon and he working at their soup restaurant in Aptos someday. Maria Paluck is the Director of our exciting Children's Ministry. Maria has been actively involved in Children's Ministry since 1998. She has a heart for God and a passion for leading children to grow to be fully devoted followers of Christ. Her goal is to give the children an environment that provides Biblical teaching in a fun and loving way to nurture their love for the Lord. Mike Kleeman Elder
Mike has been serving as an Elder since 2001. He shares his ministry responsibilities with Jeanette, his lovely wife of 26 years. Mike and Jeanette were blessed with three wonderful children. Michele and Amanda are down in southern California at Hope International University, and Andrew is a junior in High School. Mike strives to bring wisdom, guidance, and love to the body of Christ at FCC.
